Make your home safe and sound in seven days
- (ARA) - Making your home a safe haven for your family - no matter
how big or small, young or old - should be a top priority. But according
to the Home Safety Council, less than one-third of homeowners make any
safety improvements. Why? Forty-two percent of homeowners say they're
unsure of what actions to take, while 19 percent cite they don't have
enough time. Luckily, updating your home safety doesn't have to be a
daunting task. Instead of viewing it as one big project, break it up
into several smaller projects. Within seven days your home will be safe,
sound and secure.

"Exterior spaces are just as much in need of decorating as interior spaces," says Target Style Expert for Home and HGTV Designer, Sabrina Soto. "Before you begin to decorate, think about how you plan to use your outdoor space."
Envision your patio, garden or deck as an extension of your indoor
living space and design it based on how you will use it most.

Marriage of natural light and the right
color works wonders for home decor - (ARA) - Light enters our
homes from every window and every direction. The directional source of
natural light can influence the effect it has on a home's interior.
Sunlight entering from the north is usually colder. A northern exposure
will only get direct sun during summer months. By contrast, a southern
exposure guarantees a warm, sun-filled interior. Rooms that receive
light from the east will have bright mornings, muted mid-days and cooler
evenings. West-facing rooms will experience the most sun in the
afternoon and evening.
